Fill in your name, company, job title, phone, email, website and address. The code holds a standard vCard, a format every phone and email program understands. Scanning shows an Add contact screen, and no app is needed.
Print it on the back of your card, at the bottom of an email signature or on a conference badge. Because the details live inside the pattern, a long address makes a denser code, so leave out fields you do not need. If your phone number changes, make a new code. If you want one printed code that survives changes, use a dynamic code that points at a page with your details.
How to do it
- Fill in the fields you want people to save.
- Check the preview scans with your own phone.
- Download the SVG for print or the PNG for a screen.
Questions
Which vCard version is used?
Version 3.0, which iPhone, Android and desktop contact apps all read.
Can I add a photo?
Not in the code. Photos are too large for a QR pattern. Use the logo option for a small mark in the middle instead.
