QRtally gives you that link. The code holds a short address on our domain. When someone scans it, we record one row and forward them to your page in a single step, so the delay is tiny and no scan slips past uncounted.
The dashboard shows total scans, a bar for each of the last 30 days, the top countries and the split between mobile, tablet and desktop. Link preview robots are filtered out, so a chat app unfurling the address does not inflate your count. You can export every scan as a CSV file for a spreadsheet.
How to do it
- Create a dynamic code and enter the page you want people to land on.
- Print or share the code.
- Open your dashboard and press Stats on the code.
Questions
Does tracking slow the page down?
The redirect runs on the edge in one database round trip, so it adds a few tens of milliseconds, far less than loading your page.
Do you store personal data?
Each scan stores a timestamp, a two-letter country code and the device type. No IP address, no cookie, no user agent string.
