To tell which kind you have, scan it and look at the address that opens. If it is your real page, the code is static and cannot be edited. If it is a short address on some other domain that then forwards to your page, it is dynamic, and the service behind it controls the forwarding.
If your code is static and the address is wrong, you do have to reprint, but only once. Make a dynamic code this time, point it at the right page and print that. From then on, the destination is a setting rather than a print job.
With QRtally the setting is one text box in your dashboard.
How to do it
- Open your private manage link.
- Find the code, replace the target link and press Save changes.
- Scan the printed code to confirm it lands on the new page.
Questions
Can I edit a code I made elsewhere?
Only in the service that made it, and only if it is dynamic. We cannot edit codes from other services.
Will old scans break?
No. The printed code never changes. Only the page it forwards to does.
