Upload your menu PDF or page to your own website first, then paste its address here. A free static code works fine if the address will not change, and it never expires.
Menus do change, though. Prices move, seasons turn, a dish sells out. If you have printed table cards or window stickers, use a dynamic code instead: point it at this month's menu and switch the target when the menu changes. The printed codes keep working. You will also see how many guests scan each table, which tells you whether the cards are being used.
Print at least 3 cm wide, keep dark dots on a plain light background, and test with an older phone before you print fifty.
How to do it
- Host your menu as a web page or PDF and copy the address.
- Paste it into the link tab, or create a dynamic code if the menu will change.
- Download the SVG, print the table cards and test one.
Questions
Should I use a free or dynamic code for a menu?
Free if the menu address stays the same for good. Dynamic if you will ever change it, since reprinting cards costs more than the subscription.
What size should it be?
At least 3 by 3 cm on a table card, larger on a window. Higher contrast scans faster in dim light.
